Originally founded early in the 1940's, the Kissimmee Livestock Market was quickly interrupted by the events of WWII. However, in 1944, our organization returned when a group of community visionaries officially signed articles of incorporation, re-branding under president Frank Poffenbaugh as the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show and Fair Association. Twenty founding members supported an organization dedicated to educational development, commerce, industry, and agriculture in the Osceola County and Kissimmee Valley areas. These principals have been facilitated throughout the years in the form of fairs, livestock shows, and local purebred livestock sales. KVLS was established on the belief of the importance of youth development, and has realized such through involvement with 4-H and Future Farmers of America organizations. We, at the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show and Fair Association, have always had a strong commitment to the vision of our founders and will continue to through dedication to our members, facilities, and volunteers.
